The A. J. Gates Company was founded in 1918 by Augustus J. Gates, one of the founding fathers of the material handling industry. Gus Gates helped develop the lift truck we all know today. Through his unique vision of customer service and knowledge, he created The A. J. Gates Company.

The company was originally located in downtown Cleveland. We then moved to Solon to better serve the growing Cleveland Metropolitan Area. Our present location gives us excellent access to all freeways allowing us to better serve our growing customer base.

As we look to the future, we will continue the strong tradition of commitment to excellence for our customers.

PARTS
A. J. Gates stocks Mitsubishi, Prime-Mover, Intrupa, and Mastersource parts that fit almost all lift trucks. We carry a large inventory that allows us to fill most orders quickly and efficiently.

SERVICE
A. J. Gates has a complete field and shop service fleet to meet all your service and repair needs. Our service technicians are trained and certified to fix all your needs. We provide reduced rental rates while your equipment is being repaired. We back all our repairs with specific guarantees. Our rates are very competitive.

A. J. Gates has a complete selection of rental equipment for all your needs. We have many trucks of different capacities, tire types, and special attachments to help fill your various needs.

NEW & USED EQUIPMENT
We carry a wide variety of material handling equipment. Our sales force will help you to figure out which truck is best suitable to your work environment. They will also help you to increase your productivity and reduce your costs.

OPERATOR TRAINING
We offer a comprehensive Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training Safety Course that meets the current OSHA requirements. Upon successful completion each operator is awarded a driver I.D. card which states they have successfully completed a forklift safety course.
